The bond between a mother and daughter is so innately special and unique to any other relationship. We as girl moms can relate so much to our daughters because we often see so much of ourselves in them. Of course they have their own personalities and quirks, but there is a connection that goes bone deep. We’ve been where they’ve been. There is a level of empathy and understanding there, even in the maddening times when hormones come to play.

So much of the motherhood experience is beautiful and rewarding. It can also be exhausting, and that’s okay to admit too! It’s easy in all the bustle and doing to miss out on the fun and connection with our kids, especially if we are shouldering much of the domestic responsibilities.

That’s one reason I love Mommy and Me sessions so much! As a mom of 4 girls, and busy Belton Texas family photographer, I understand how quickly we can get lost under the to do lists and daily tasks. These sessions are an opportunity to slow down and just be with our little loves while they are simply that…little! To connect, laugh, and create memories that last forever.
